Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling

The Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling (Amt für Berufsbildung und Berufsberatung – ABB) is part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Education and Sport. The Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling provides targeted and individual information and support regarding basic vocational training and further professional training.

The Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling offers work, study and career guidance to young people and adults on an individual basis by providing information on vocational, academic and career choices. In addition, the Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling manages the Career Information Centre (BIZ).

The Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling also provides advice on basic vocational training to learners/apprentices and apprenticeship/training companies as part of the vocational training programme.

In the field of vocational mobility, the Office for Vocational Training and Career Counseling enables learners and professionals to gain work experience during an internship abroad, to experience foreign countries and cultures and, if necessary, to improve their foreign language skills.
