Unused or expired narcotics should be returned to pharmacies and medical practice pharmacies.
The pharmacies and medical practice pharmacies dispose of the narcotics at the collection point of the state hospital, which has a special permit. Under the supervision of the Office of Public Health, the collection point ensures that the narcotics returned are destroyed in the incineration plant in Buchs SG.
